Teacher's Orientation Day

14th June, 2024

The 2024-25 academic year commenced with a staff orientation on June 14, 2024, at 9:30 a.m, led by our Manager, Fr. Austin Norris. The day began with the school anthem and a brief prayer, followed
by an introduction from Fr. Walter Pen who presented Rev. Fr. Austin Norris as the day's speaker.
Fr. Austin then organized the entire staff into 10 groups, distributing a small cut-out with a message to each group. Each group was tasked with interpreting the message and presenting their thoughts. After all
groups had shared their ideas, Fr. Austin conducted a comprehensive presentation expanding on these interpretations. He emphasized guidelines for teaching and nurturing diverse children, underscoring
the child's pivotal role at the core of education.

Ideas provided for thought and emphasis;
 A teacher never retires- An employee does.
 Knowledge without guidance can be dangerous.
 Teachers are heroes for their children.
 If there is no teacher- there is no future.
 You are “sum” body special.
 Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning.
 It takes a big heart to shape little minds.
 Only the brave chooses to teach.
 Teachers change the world one child at a time.
 Teaching is a work of heart.

The message Fr Austin put forth was to be child centric and caring. To gist up his message in a few words;
 Love for children
 Be patient
 Be a mother (Parent)
 Empathize
 Be compassionate
 Get down to the level of the child
 Give a listening ear
 Change of our mindset
 Give our hundred percent to the children
 Be creative
 Unconditional acceptance
 It is a vocation and not our profession

Overall, it was a morning well spent, marked by Fr. Austin's eloquent delivery of an inspiring message. The orientation concluded gracefully with Ms. Smita Pawar delivering the Vote of Thanks.
